The Katikati Bird Gardens and Cafe is a beautiful, 40+ year old privately owned 10 acre park on the edge of the Tauranga inner harbour near Tauranga in the Bay Of Plenty.
The extensive plantings include a rose garden, a conifer garden, lily ponds and mature trees from all around the world.
Visitors are encouraged to hand-feed the ducklings and doves (bird food provided).
Enjoy lunch in the terrace café.

Outside of winter the gardens are open daily from 10am-4.30pm.
Winter hours (June, July and August) 10am-4.00pm on weekends and school holidays only.
Groups can be accommodated by appointment year round. The 45 minute paved walk is on mostly all weather sealed paths. Lunch and or tea can be taken in the cafe with seating for around 50.

The Bird Gardens and Cafe are situated at the end of Walker Road East, directly off the Pacific Coast Highway (SH2) 7 kilometres south of Katikati, only 25 minutes from downtown Tauranga.
