Becky Manawatu and Brannavan Gnanalingam are two exciting new writers tackling confronting subject matter with compassion and courage.
Champions of the underdog, they have both drawn on personal traumatic experiences to inform their highly acclaimed novels, 'Auē' and 'Sprigs', and gone on to win the favour of award judges and the reading public.
The 2021 Marlborough Book Festival runs from 7pm Friday 9 July through to 4.30pm Sunday 11 July with a range of author sessions on across at the weekend at the ASB Theatre, Blenheim. More info at the Marlborough Book Festival website.
