A Tribute to "The Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz"

A tribute to "The Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz", tells the stories of the lives of four women through the evening’s concert programme. This concert was unable to go ahead as planned on November 9th due to COVID restrictions, and will now take place in conjunction with the 2022 Yom HaShoah service. Details about that will come closer to the time.

Journeying from pre-war Europe through the horrors of the war, recounting the many roles music played in their lives – resistance, survival, resilience, and a means to battle racism and fascism.
From virtuoso violin talent touring Europe to conductor of "The Women's Orchestra of Auschwitz”, the story of Alma Rosé, and two other inspirational women’s lives will be shared through this unique concert.

The concert musicians are:
Amalia Hall, Violin

Inbal Megiddo, Cello
Kristallnacht Ensemble

MC Donald Maurice, with narration by Inbal Megiddo and Sharn Maree Cassady.
