Every school holidays, Otago Museum has the Makerspace tables open. A place where you can create something beautiful, or scary, or amazing using our free crafting materials, instructions, with the assistance of our friendly staff helpers.
It's cold outside, so step into the warmth of the beautiful Otago Museum Atrium and create something wonderful.
You can celebrate Matariki by crafting your own origami wishing star, or you can make an illuminated Matariki shadow card. Take your card home and shine a torch through it to see the Matariki constellation light up your room!
You can also check out our free exhibition Fashion Fwd >> Disruption through Design for some creative couture inspiration, and style your own paper dolls at the Makerspace tables.
In our beautiful light-filled Atrium, anybody can craft together, working with some fantastic, free resources to make something lasting. Bring your friends, grab a coffee, and have some fun.
All day, Monday 12 – Friday 23 July
