Christchurch's regular vegan night Mākete (market) showcases the best of local plant-based foods and goods, raises awareness of the environmental/animal welfare and health benefits of veganism, and brings the community together.

Winter/non-daylight saving hours: 3.30pm to 7pm

Under the red setting of the Government’s traffic light system, the mākete is limited to 100 people at any one time (not including volunteers and stallholders), people must sit down to eat and drink, vaccine passes are required for those aged over 12 years and three months, scanning/signing is is needed, and masks are mandatory (unless you have an exemption).
Under the orange and green settings, the mākete can operate as normal, but mask use and scanning/signing in is required.
