Join deeply passionate and highly experienced Yoga teacher Emily Kendall for an introduction to the fundamental elements of yoga and meditation.
The course is designed for people who have never done yoga before. We will cover a gentle introduction to yoga meditation taught in a way that is accessible for everyone. You will learn simple breathing techniques to add to your toolbox, allowing you to self regulate in times of stress. We will cover the basics of what yoga is, how it works, mind-body connection, different types of movement and fundamental poses so you can begin to develop your own yoga practice.
The course will run weekly for 6 weeks on Wednesday nights from 7.30-8.30pm at The Link Community Centre 4 Te Aroha Street, Claudelands, Hamilton.
The space is heated, there is plenty of parking available and toilets on site.
Everybody is welcome, you do not need to be fit, flexible or spiritual to experience the benefits of a yoga practice. This is a safe space for everyone. Come as you are - all shapes, sizes, ages and abilities are welcome.
You don't need anything except comfortable clothing and a water bottle. All equipment is supplied.
