You won’t want to miss these four short plays by Angie Farrow which are sharp, funny, mysterious and deeply moving.

They shed light on the power of destiny in relationships and how far we can change the future. They challenge us to think about the consequences of pushing for an outcome even when the gods are against us.

Outstanding Performances
The plays are all performed by the same two actors, Rob Lloyd and Liz Kirkman. Both outstanding and experienced performers, they bring an emotional and spiritual brilliance to the stage that sometimes takes your breath away. Their connection with each other is strange and powerful.

Award Winners
The first two award-winning plays are monologues that feature in turn, a jilted bride (Leo Rising) and her apparently faithless lover (Destiny). The bride blames her fate on the stars; the groom blames the genes he inherited from his father. Leo Rising won ‘Best Script’ at the Auckland Short and Sweet Festival in 2015. Destiny, described by Eleanor Bishop as ‘adventurous, dramatic and genuinely moving’ was the recent winner of the Playwright’s Association of New Zealand’s Short Play Competition (2020).

The third play, The Eternal, is about a memory guru who persuades his partner to keep revisiting events of their past in order to reinforce the power of their love. Described by Stuart Hoar from Playmarket as 'Sharp, clever and moving', it was shortlisted for the Adam Playwriting Award this year.
The final play, Happiness, is about two strangers who meet on a park bench and who discover that their lives were inextricably intertwined. But are they remembering what actually happened or imagining what they wished had happened?

The evening shows will run for 75 minutes.
