Step back in time and soak up summer's brilliance in the Village gardens, blooming with hollyhocks, hydrangeas and other cottage flowers! With plenty of room for distancing in the idyllic outdoor setting, make a day of it. Bring a picnic or pick-up something from the Homestead Café. Explore the heritage buildings and learn about the lives of early Auckland settlers.

There was always work to be done! Help the Villagers with their chores at the following times in January:

BUTTER-MAKING - every Wednesday at 11am from 29 December
WASH DAY - Saturdays 15 & 29 January at 1:30
ROPE MAKING - Saturdays 8, 22 January at 1:30
FEED THE CHOOKS - everyday at 10:45

With outdoor games, giant bubbles and crafts everyday!

Book on the Historical Village website OR receive 30-50% off vouchers on the Bookme website as part of Auckland Unlimited's 'Reactivate Tāmaki Makaurau'.

No booking required but activities (except for chicken feeding) are limited to 15 participants. Register on arrival. Free but donations are welcome, or support us through gift shop purchases.

Please note that presenting a vaccine certificate on arrival is a condition of entry. Last admissions are at 3pm. Please note the Village will be CLOSED on 31 December and 1 January.
