Establishing Fruit Trees - 9am – 12.30pm
By the end of this hands-on, practical workshop you will be able to confidently choose the ideal trees for your garden outlook and ensure they have the best start.

Best location | Local varieties | Identify rootstock and vigour | Soil preparation | Planting, staking and mulching

Pruning Fruit Trees - 1.30 -5pm
Not sure where to begin with your pip and stone fruit trees? Come and find out how to tame a neglected tree to ensure it’s longevity and increase production.

Appropriate Tools | Tree shapes | Why and when to prune | Pruning young trees | Restoring old trees

The classes are run by Canterbury Horticultural Society at Avebury House / Richmond Community Gardens
