Nelson Pride is extremely excited to announce our upcoming Pride Ball!

Glamorous, flamboyant, over the top, queer, here and absolutely fabulous, this is a night to let your freak flag fly and be your totally authentic self.

A lot of us wish we could give our school ball a do over. Maybe you wanted to take an LGBTQ+ partner, maybe you wanted to wear a ball gown, maybe you wanted to death drop.... and you weren't allowed. Glamboyant, Nelson's inaugural pride ball, is a chance for a do over, where you can let your soul speak through fashion, and bring the date your heart desires.

Ticket includes a drink on arrival, access to the bar and charcuterie & canapé table, entertainment from queer musical icon Jack Panther, followed by a set from DJ Darkling plus entry into Best Dressed categories.

More about Jack Panther:
Emerging from the Wellington scene and already turning heads in the music and fashion industry, Jack Panther released his sophomore EP “this dream I had” featuring the track “Blue Boy” in 2020, and at the age of 23 has developed through mentoring by industry greats such as Andrew Scheps, Stuart Hawkes, and UK-based producer Ian Barter, who has worked with artists like Amy Winehouse, FKA Twigs and Paloma Faith. After signing with Luna in March of 2021, Jack has been busy in the studio collaborating on multiple projects – recently releasing the playful, hip hop inspired track titled “If I Was” and “Feels Right” featuring MAURICE from DUAL which saw support from indie blogs like Phork, Acid Stag and Sniffers and teased a moodier, more confident era for the artist.

Nelson Pride Incorporated is a non-profit organisation dedicated to social events to provide connection for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Nelson/Tasman region. Any proceeds from this event go back into the community to support social engagement amongst the Rainbow community.

This is a Vaccine Pass Only event and will be closely following a Covid-19 Health and Safety Plan. Tickets are refundable in the event of cancellation or illness.
