At the heart of Omori and Kuratau is the Community Centre, built by the areas residents and funded by donations from both individuals and the business community in the area.
The grounds which overlook the lake and Kaimanawa Ranges have been generously provided by the Taupo Council. It is situated adjacent to the Omori boat ramp and a popular park equipped with childrens play ground and an area for other activities.
