The Arts Murihiku Verbatim Project

For this project, Talking House practitioners will take you through the process of creating a verbatim play from its beginnings to performing it to an audience. It’s fascinating, fun, challenging – working with your community to share their stories, using the exciting medium of theatre. Combine many skills – interviewing, filming, editing, writing, presentation, making your play – working with professionals, highly experienced in producing verbatim theatre throughout New Zealand.

The outcome – a verbatim piece, but how that would happen would be worked out at the workshops – it could be a series of short pieces joined together with a storyline, for example. You can attend one or all three workshops. email: kiaora@artsmurihiku.co.nz to secure your spot.
