WHARIKI LARGE WOVEN MATS
Whāriki are woven mats which utilise traditional Raranga weaving techniques.
Whether a seasoned weaver or an absolute beginner, you will learn to design and weave your own large mats made up of more than one panel, which can be used then as a traditional or contemporary piece for your floor or wall.
You will learn:
- How to identify & harvest traditional materials.
- How to read and replicate traditional and contemporary patterns.
- How to make your own whāriki mat to keep.
