Kisa will be opening in Wellington on Tuesday the 31st of May, 2022. Located on the corner of Cuba Street and Vivian Street, Kisa is a Middle Eastern-inspired restaurant, with roots predominately in Turkish cuisine. Kisa initially launched as a pop-up restaurant in March 2021, at LTD. Event Space.
This new space will seat 90 people, with half available for bookings and half walk-ins. Initially the opening times and days will be - Monday closed, Tuesday 4pm-close, Wednesday-Sunday 12pm-close.
The food and restaurant is centred around a huge Josper Mangal (Charcoal BBQ), the only one in New Zealand, as well as a custom gas-fired pita bread oven. Serving a variety of mezze, as well as large plates, with lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, Kisa will showcase New Zealand produce and suppliers through a Middle-Eastern lens. There will also be a major focus on New Zealand wine and beer, a range of cocktails and housemade sodas with a Turkish flair.
