The Pirongia Craft Day is an annual event which has been operating for 40 years. This market is one of the biggest fairs of New Zealand, with over 200 Stalls.
The Annual Pirongia Craft Day is held in Pirongia’s main street, Franklin Street. It is organised by a volunteer committee of dedicated local arts and craftspeople who endeavour to keep the original theme of "NZ Handmade or Homegrown".
Only genuine New Zealand made crafts and products are sold at this Craft Day. The craft fair also features entertainment groups ranging from a pipe band to a hip-hop group.
The road is closed from 6 am when over 200 pre-allocated and paid for sites will be set up. Stallholders are “open for business” from 9 am to 3 pm creating a unique vibrant, friendly village atmosphere. The road re-opens at 4 pm.
There is plenty of parking available on the day, and a mobile Eftpos unit on site. Come along for a fabulous day out!
