Ever wished that your body came with a user manual?
"Not Yoga" Awareness Through Movement® classes will help you to understand your body better and how it's designed to move.
You are verbally guided through a variety of movement sequences to engage your body AND your brain.
Classes will help you:
- Release tension, aches, pains and "niggles"
- Improve posture, breathing and sleep
- Discover improved mobility, coordination & balance
- Find new confidence and ease in your everyday activities
The classes are different from a standard exercise or yoga class. You do a variety of movement in sitting or lying down and use MINDFUL attention to improve your movement. You really tune into what you are doing and how you do it. It's like finally sitting down to read the instructions about how you work and then it all starts to make sense! You become the expert in you.
All body types and levels of experience are welcome. It doesn't matter if you've never tried yoga or Feldenkrais Awareness Through Movement ® class before or you've been doing it for years.
Classes are held at the airy, bright and spacious Movement Works Studio in Jervoistown, Napier in a beautiful orchard setting.

Classes run as a 4-week term - $60 for 4 classes or $15 per class until the end of 2021. If you miss a class that you've paid for, you get an audio recording that you can do in your own time at home.
