Glen Colechin is a multi-disciplinary artist who primarily crafts sculptures from recycled materials, such as ceramics, stone and various types of metal.
Born in West Yorkshire in Northern England, Colechin moved to New Zealand in 2009, where his practice is heavily influenced by local flora and fauna. He has exhibited across Aotearoa and won several awards for his sculptures.
Colechin studied both photography and graphic design, and previously worked as an engineer before becoming a fulltime artist. He is based in Taradale, Napier.
