Community Radio Hamilton is an "Access" radio station, part of the Access Radio Network, which comprises of eleven stations around the country.
We are funded partly by NZ on Air to provide access to broadcasting facilities for individuals or groups with ideas or opinions which may not get an opportunity for exposure through the mainstream commercial broadcast industry. Access radio is in essence "radio by the people for the people", where the freedom of expression of ideas, values and beliefs is valued and protected.
