The Kōkopu Stories with Sam Ludden
A workshop connected to our exhibition Ngā Haerenga/ Journeys.
Wairarapa artist and ecologist Sam Ludden brings his passion for clay and river creatures together for a special public programme at Aratoi.
Sam's knowledge about local wildlife is enthralling and he will share his expertise about the long fin eel and the giant kōkopu, both migratory creatures, and how people can learn from observing their life cycles.
Using clay, he will guide you through techniques and the process to make your own unique Giant Kōkopu to take away.

- Glazing and firing (Takarua/Winter Firing end of September 2022)
