TERM 4: starts Wednesday 19 October until 14 December 2022

For ages 6 to 12 years.

In this course we are going to use artist Wayne Theibauds for inspiration and to get started with the first sculptural piece and then children will move onto their own sculptural preferences once they have completed their first project.

Children can make several different sculptures throughout the course starting with the simple and then progressing to more difficult ideas and using other materials.

First, we need to make sure the armature (structure) is nice and stable, looking for good form and from all viewpoints. Then we will use paper, papier-mâché, clay, wire mesh and plaster bandage to sculpt the pieces, finishing with some paint and turning them into beautiful artworks to enjoy.

The course will be tailored to suit all skill levels and ages attending.
