A celebration that is designed to engage and inspire the whole whānau and community, for children, young people, and adults of all ages!
Whakauru – Take part in hands-on experiments and demonstrations, from the coolest cutting edge technology to some amazing science and innovative engineering.
Whakatairanga – Meet some amazing people working in STEM and changing the world with their awesome skills and expertise.
Whakawhanake – Learn how you can follow in the footsteps of your STEM heroes by meeting the companies and organisations who are responsible for bringing these innovations to life.

You need to have a (free) ticket to attend this year to support our contact tracing. Please also make sure that you have the NZ COVID Tracer app installed on your phone, with the bluetooth function enabled to make contact tracing as easy as possible.
When and where?
STEMFest will be on Sunday 5th December 2021. The festival opens to the public at 10am and ends at 4pm. The festival will take place on Durham Street (from Elizabeth to Spring Streets).

- Please ensure everyone in your party has a General Entry ticket.
- Photography and video recording of children (and adults) will be used for marketing and promotional purposes by SWT/Tauranga STEM Festival and our partners only.
All visitors to Tauranga STEM Festival who are aged under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. ID may be asked for at entry. The organisers and entrance staff reserve the right to refuse entry for health and safety or any other reason they feel is reasonable (such as drunkenness or inappropriate attire). Please refer to our Code of Conduct.
