Join us for an evening of award-winning short films from the Quebec region of Canada, an exploration of characters from all walks of life.
About this Event: Show Me Shorts and the High Commission of Canada present an evening of Quebecois short films co-curated with Cine Tapis Rouge. Watch a selection of drama, documentary and animation from the rising stars of Canadian cinema.
There are six short films by top Canadian filmmakers:

King Lajoie directed by Joannie Lafrenière
Les Profondeurs (The Depths) directed by Ariane Louis-Seize
La Marche (The Walk) directed by Yoakim Bélanger
De Sang Et D’Urine (Blood And Urine) directed by Julien Falardea

This is an informal and fun event, and all are welcome. The screening takes place in the upstairs function room at The Kingslander. All films screen in the French language with English subtitles. Run time is approx 71-minutes. No allocated seating, so first in best dressed. The bar will be open with food and drink available for purchase.
Thank you to Cine Tapis Rouge for the films. Thank you to the High Commission of Canada and CALQ for supporting this project.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No, just your name and email confirmation is fine.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event? The Kingslander is a very short walk from Kingsland train station. There is street parking available but make sure to allow time to find a park. Some of the parking on New North Road is pay and display.
Will there be door sales? Previous events have sold out online before the night so it is recommended to pre-book. If online sales do not sell out there may be limited door sales. Door sales are cash only.
