Nau mai, haere mai and welcome to the inaugural Matariki ki Waitomo celebrations at the Waitomo Glowworm Caves.
Gain a richer and deeper understanding of Maori rongoā (traditional medicine) from guest speakers from Te Waka o Matariki, a traditional Maori healing group based in Ngāti Maniapoto. These casual and informative workshops will focus on the power of healing and rebirthing, with Sunday 4th being a speaker session, and Wednesday 7th and Friday 9th informative workshops in which we will share modern and traditional applications on how rongoā is used in Waikato communities today.
Each workshop is unique – so come along to one or both! All sessions are free and held at Waitomo Glowworm Caves, 39 Waitomo Village Road - no need to book, just drop in.
