Qigong is an ancient Chinese system to cultivate Qi (energy) using mind, body & breath. This extra Qi can be used for health, martial and spiritual purposes.
The focus of these classes is the foundational principles and practices. The body must be aligned and at ease for Qi and blood to flow before learning more complex forms (such as Ba Duan Jin, 5 Animals Frolicking etc).
Kate Lebedev offers these traditional teachings for a modern environment.
You Will Learn:
- How to stand and sit for optimal body alignment
- Methods to deepen the breath naturally
- Stretches to release tension & pain
- Practices to calm the mind
- How to cultivate Qi
Classes are suitable for young and old, healthy and sick, flexible and stiff, strong and injured, relaxed and stressed, those with no experience and those wishing to deepen their practice of the internal arts.
Wear loose, comfy clothing.
