This Mindful Walk will safely connect you with nature, yourself and others in a meaningful and joyful way. Mel Burdett will guide at an easy to intermediate pace, encouraging mindfulness techniques and gentle movement on the way.
Mel has been guiding Wellbeing Walks since 2014 and skilfully weaves her knowledge as a certified yoga teacher and mindset coach into this unique experience.
We will meet at Pope's Corner and walk through McKenzie Reserve. We'll be waiting for you at the end of the walk where there is space to sit, with a box of veggie South American Oven empanadas.
Mel has more than 30 years of experience in yoga and personal development. She is a certified Hatha Yoga Teacher and Hormone Yoga Therapist (350+ IYTA), Mindfulness Practitioner and a Professional Certified Coach (ACC ICF).
Helping others to be the best version of themselves is her motto.
She is a founding member of the Waiheke Women’s Collective and the Island Coaches Collective (ICC). In these functions Mel organises pro bono events in her community to improve health and wellbeing. You might also have seen her volunteering as a guide for the Waiheke Walking Festival, where she has been leading Wellbeing Walks since 2014.
Please note that for this event we will have to ask you for your vaccine certificate as it will be really difficult to enforce distance restrictions to keep everyone safe and us out of trouble. Please have your vaccine certificates handy.
