Miller Bell Music celebrates 10 years of 'pop up concerts' back at the Historic Ohoka Hall which will be transformed into an intimate cabaret style speakeasy featuring Le Creme de la Creme of Canterbury's finest Jazz Blues musicians.
This is the final year of the highly popular post EQ project launched in 2011 by Scottish born folk blues jazz singer songwriter and producer Isabella (Izzy) Miller Bell Aka Ma Bell.
Ma Bell dons the mantle of Madame Tragedie to host the night, introducing a superb line of musicians and performance artists. Guests include the multi talented Carmel Courtney, Swing 42, featuring jazz & blues heavyweights Bob Heinz, Keith Petch, Mike Kime, Rueben Derrick & John Bevin who will be performing in a variety of combos to deliver a night of top shelf acoustic gypsy jazz, swing, classic blues & more.
International Burlesque Star Bonita Danger Doll pops in to add a little sparkle and spice to the red hot mix and Madame Tragedie & Accomplices round off the night performing a selection of classic Jazz blues from Ma Bell's latest body of work - a 12 track album representing the best of her personal contribution to the 10 pop up project.
