Come along to CAMP: The Drag Show
A Drag show embodying all the glitz and glamour of drag with the sillyness and craziness of clowns
Camp is a concept deeply ingrained in the culture of drag; from Priscilla Queen of the Desert all the way to the Met Gala the phenomenon of Camp is consistently queer and entertaining.
Camp's essence is defined in Susan Sontag's 'Notes on camp' as "... love of the unnatural: of artifice and exaggeration" and if there's one thing Drag artists know how to do it is EXAGGERATE.
Come take in the sequins, rhinestones, and wigs all at scales you've never seen before and watch as these performers make a downright fool of themselves and the art of drag itself.
Hosted at the home of Wellington Drag; Ivy Bar
