Picton Christmas Parade is held on the first Sunday in December - Sunday 5 December 2021.
This is a free fun family event.
The parade participants gather at the Picton Police Station, Broadway, Picton. The parade with approximately 30 entrants weave their way around the Picton CBD and ends at the Railway Station.
The Prize Giving & Christmas Songs concert starts at 3pmish on the Picton Foreshore, with opportunities for families to have a photo with Father Christmas. Free face painting is available for the children. A sausage sizzle is available as a fundraising for Picton School and other food stalls are available.
The Blenheim District Pipe Band lead the parade and also perform Christmas songs on the foreshore before the Prizes are awarded for Best Community Float, Best Commercials Float with 2nd and 3rd placings. The crowd is encouraged to sing along with the favourite Christmas Carols and enjoy family time on our beautiful foreshore.
