Featuring Bede Hanley, Principal Oboe
Beethoven - Rondino
Bozza - Octanphonie
Mozart - Serenade No.12
Eighteenth-century music for wind octet is an endless source of delights, and Bede Hanley has delved into the box for some goodies. Mozart’s cheerful Serenade is an example of its composer at his lightest, as is Beethoven’s Rondino. 170 years later, the French composer Eugène Bozza paid homage to this music in his miniature suite, Octanphonie.
