Boost with Facebook is Back!
We’re excited to share that we’re partnering with Facebook to bring the Boost with Facebook program to Te Whanganui a Tara!
This workshop is taking place kanohi ki te kanohi, so you can get to know one another whilst learning how to use Facebook and Instagram to start or grow your business. The event provides the most up-to-date education for small businesses directly from the Facebook team.
Whether you’re a seasoned Facebook and Instagram user or starting out in using these platforms for your business, all skill levels are welcome.
Skills to Add to your Kete
We’ve got an incredible half-day line-up scheduled which will include:
The Basics of Facebook & Instagram for Business
If you’re just starting out, or you already have a presence on Facebook and Instagram, this session will recap how to raise awareness of your business online and craft more engaging content that will help your business stand out.
Advertising on Facebook
You're ready to advertise but need a strategy and a plan. Gain an understanding of what ad objectives are as well as how they can help you achieve your business goals.
Inspire action with Instagram
Instagram helps people come together to discover, share and connect with businesses they’re interested in. We’ll provide a range of tips on how to use Instagram to inspire people to take actions that matter to you and help you achieve lasting connections, customer loyalty and business growth.
Creating virtual storefronts with Shops
If you’re looking to reach new customers online, setting up a shop on Facebook and Instagram is a good place to start. We’ll cover how to create a safe and convenient shopping experience for customers who can browse, explore and purchase products directly from your virtual storefront.
Katie will also be facilitating a panel in each region with some mīharo local businesses doing an excellent job of using Facebook’s tools to grow their business.
We’ll make sure there’s plenty of opportunity for whakawhanaungatanga, so you can get to know other businesses in your rohe and perhaps share some of the things you’ve learnt on your digital journey.
Kanohi ki te Kanohi with Facebook
Boost with Facebook will be facilitated by Facebook Community Trainer, Katie Brown of Ngāti Raukawa and Ngāti Whātua. Katie is a strategic communicator, social media specialist and director of her company Social Good, and uses digital tools to solve problems, communicate and innovate.
Katie was on our Māori in a Digital World panel at our Whāriki.co.nz launch last month, and had some epic insights to share. She led the All-of-Government social media response to Covid-19, so you know you’re going to be in very good hands.
Katie is a big supporter of Whāriki and Māori business, and we’re really honoured to have the opportunity to have her expertise onboard with this kaupapa to back the Māori business community.
