Otaki Kindergarten is the only kindergarten serving the area from Manakau to Te Horo. There are several early childhood services available within the community – Kohanga Reo, Playcentre, Montessori, Playgroups and Child Care Centre.
Our community includes both rural and urban areas with a wide range of employment options including heavy industry, an abattoir and seasonal horticultural work. The township is close-knit with many established families and a cross-section of socio-economic and ethnic groups including strong Maori communities.
