Hi-Tech Hawke's Bay are excited to host three of New Zealand’s leading agri-tech companies who are developing and sharing AI, Machine Learning and Vision technologies on their journeys to develop automation technology for the Horticultural industry.

Presenting will be Andrew Kersley from The Smart Machine Company, Rob Elstone from Hortworx and Jack Hughes from Fruition Horticulture followed by Q&A, and networking at The Urban Winery - platters supplied, cash bar.

Andrew Kersley from The Smart Machine Company has had an incredible journey using mostly private sector funding and commercial partnerships to develop the OXIN Autonomous Machine for viticulture. In a short period of two to three years Andrew has commercialised achieved what other in the industry have taken many more years and many tens of millions of dollars to achieve.

Rob Elstone started Hortworx two years ago, and has now partnered with Smart Machine to supply the autonomous platform which Hortworx will develop into a semi-automated apple harvesting platform solution for Hawke's Bay apple growers.

Jack Hughes from Fruition is collaborating with Smart Machine to integrate their Green Atlas Cartographer using high-resolution AI-assisted mapping that allows flower and fruit counts to be quickly and accurately mapped over entire orchards.

Come and listen to three leading Hawke's Bay Hort Tech companies who are finding ways to work together and take on some of the challenges in the primary sector.

This event will appeal to all in the horticultural industry - growers, packers, those considering automation, and techies who are involved in diverse industries interested in AI, Machine Learning and Vision Technology and looking to apply the technologies to their own projects.
