The Kauaeranga Visitor Centre is your gateway to the Kauaeranga Valley, Coromandel Forest Park and Northern Coromandel region.
View displays on the unique cultural, historic, and natural features of the Kauaeranga Valley.
Watch a 20 minute film about the history of kauri logging in the valley "The Last of the Kauri Bushmen" in our theatre, as well as a number of other nature films (by gold coin donation).
The Kauaeranga Valley Café is open weekends from Saturday 3 December and after Christmas is open 7 days until Waitangi weekend. From February 6 it will open weekends only.
Visitor Centre hours from December 17 will extend to 8.30 am - 5.00pm until the end of January.
The Centre also hosts the Kauaeranga Valley "6 Weeks of Summer" programme that runs throughout January and includes Picnic in the Forest Park featuring an afternoon of "Live Music@ the KVC". on Saturday January 14.
