Yin yoga is a restorative form of yoga which can help to stretch and recharge the body whilst nourishing the mind and soul. If you are new to yoga this can be a powerful introduction to the benefits for wellbeing and health.
Postures, or “Asanas”, are generally held for longer than normal, 3 to 5 minutes for beginners and experienced yogis. This helps the limbs stretch, the fascia to release tension, and the body to rehydrate its tissues and cells. It is a great experience and will release any tight muscles.
