The Milford Asset Management Season of
LIVE LIVE CINEMA: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD
Created and Composed by Leon Radojkovic.
Experience George Romero’s 1968 cult classic like you’ve never experienced it before: live. In this exhilarating collision of theatre, music and cinema, Romero’s astonishing debut is accompanied by two performers who have been tasked to perform just about everything you see and hear: voicing every character in the film bar one, creating every sound effect and playing a new original score by composer Leon Radojkovic (Live Live Cinema’s Little Shop of Horrors, Dementia 13 and Carnival of Souls).
Hailed by critics as a manifesto for the modern horror, LIVE LIVE CINEMA: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD sees a group of strangers trapped in a farmhouse, fending off a horde of flesh-eating zombies. An allegory for America in the 60s with enduring relevance today — a society eating itself from within — this unlikely revival takes you deep into the belly of the beast for an exhilaratingly anarchic theatre experience.
Starring the unstoppable triple threats, Hayley Sproull (TVNZ’s Have You Been Paying Attention?, Little Shop Of Horrors) and Jack Buchanan (When Sun and Moon Collide, Homos, or, Everyone In America) directed by Silo’s Artistic Director Sophie Roberts, LIVE LIVE CINEMA: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is set to be an unmissable new show from Silo Theatre and Jumpboard Productions.
Join us at the iconic Hollywood in Avondale for a performance feat that truly has to be seen to be believed.
On for a strictly limited season.
Content warning: NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD is strictly R16 and contains violence and police brutality.
