Ahoy people of the Bay! Our pirate sails aren’t only for our young ones, now it’s time for us grown ups to have some fun.
Let your inner pirate go wild on a short 2-hour sail adventure, dress up as pirates and get your mates together for an epic evening on the iconic R. Tucker Thompson. We'll be serving up some pirate themed drinks, and a surprise that is sure to blow your socks off.
This sailing is a fundraiser and the proceeds from all tickets will go towards funding a place for a young person from the region on a 7-day youth development voyage.

Tickets are $33 per pirate - This is half price of our usual Sundowner sail
Russell Wharf Departure: The R. Tucker Thompson departs from Russell Wharf at 4pm. You will need to be there at 3.45pm. The ship gets back to Russell wharf just before 6pm.
How to get there: If you’re coming from Paihia, you can take the ferry from the Paihia wharf, the last ferry to leave is the Bay Belle at 3.30pm. Or you can take the car ferry from Opua.
Things to bring: We recommend that you bring a hat, water bottle and warm clothes. A cash bar with a range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks is available for purchase.
Covid Safety: All passengers will be required to scan or check in for contact tracing purposes and provide proof via a valid Vaccine Pass that they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Please wear masks while boarding.
Dress up: We highly encourage wearing appropriate attire for our pirate sail. Failure to may result in being thrown overboard.
Have fun, be safe and drink responsibility. Misbehaved pirates will be asked to walk the plank.
