Under the expert guidance of our experienced instructors, this workshop series runs on a Thursday. Each session enables you to experience a range of hand/power tools and machinery in a supportive, relaxed setting while building items for our community partner, Urban Ark - Manawa Taia.

We provide all the materials you'll need and our small class size of 6 will enable you to gain skills quickly and, once completed, will give you the opportunity to join our WOMENZSHED as a Member where you can continue to develop your woodworking skills.

Individual workshop details:
Sexy saws...and planers
includes intro, timber basics, hand- and electric planing, marking measuring and cutting with a hand saw.

Feel the power
includes safety and power-tools such as skill/circular saws, drop saws and bench saws

Screw it
includes drills, bits and drilling and presses plus nails, screws and screwing

Grind it baby
Working with metal including cutting and grinding plus how to sharpen blades

Joint time
includes assembling work (free-hand and with jigs), quality control, joints, tool kits (if time)
