Help Christchurch City Council Rangers and School Strike for Climate Ōtautahi to plant native trees at the Styx River Living Laboratory site. The Styx River is a spring-fed ecosystem and provides valuable habitat for birds, fish and other wildlife. We are planting in this area to enhance biodiversity, help keep the waterway clean and fight climate change.
Meet at 51 Lower Styx Road. Please carpool if possible as parking is limited. Please park at the pull in site and not along the road. Follow signage and traffic control on the day.
What to bring:
-Gum boots (the site could be wet!) or sturdy walking boots
-Weather appropriate clothing - layers, raincoat and hat
-Water bottle and snacks
-Some tools will be provided, but feel free to bring your own shovel
Any questions, please email Aurora at email@example.com or Alice at firstname.lastname@example.org
