In this workshop with 800 Degrees Glass, course participants will learn the basic methods of 3D casting a small vessel. You will learn the basics of wax modelling 3D vessels and how to imbue your own mark and individualise your work.

You will learn about mould making, wax work, investing your mould and learning about reservoirs, kiln firing, etc. The weekend will consist of making and firing and participants will return the following Saturday to demould their casts to see their own creations cast and learn basic coldworking techniques. All these things will be demonstrated during the workshop. No experience is necessary, just your enthusiasm is required.

The workshop is intensive and fun and popular.

800 Degrees glass have been bringing glass casting to various communities over several years. A fun-filled environment in a small studio space.

The fee for this workshop includes up to 1kg of gaffer lead crystal glass to use in the workshop.
