2021 Korean Film Festival returns this year with an exceptional opportunity to enjoy seven well-selected Korean films to Wellington on 3-4 December at the Embassy Theatre.
Organised by the Korean Embassy in Wellington, the Korean Foundation Organization and the Korean Cinerama Trust, the Korean Film Festival is an annual event that promotes cultural exchanges between Korea and New Zealand. This year’s festival brings together some of the most popular and ground-breaking films.

- In 1795, the nineteenth year of King Jeongjo’s reign, a large amount of fake silver is slipped into circulation creating a substantial threat to the economy. Detective Kim Min is assigned the task of investigating the crime ring behind the scheme. He goes undercover in a rural village with his best friend and sidekick, Seokpil. In the village, the pair meet a girl called Dahae who asks them to help her find her missing sister.
