West End School is situated on the Western side of New Plymouth. Opened in 1884 West End started life on St Aubyn St (near the Cutfield Rd corner) and moved to its present site in 1927. West End sits on two and a quarter hectares in Bonithon Ave.
West End is set in picturesque grounds and a large part of that is attributable to Fred Parker who worked on the school grounds for 60 years.
Currently West End has a roll of just over 300 pupils. There are 12 classrooms in full time operation as well as a computer room.
