"Creative, independent, knowledgeable lifelong learners"
Their primary focus is to ensure that each and every child has a sense of belonging and is valued as an individual. The school strives to promote a caring, family culture where the educational needs of all their learners are nurtured. They are a small rural school but this does not mean that the learners miss out on the opportunities they might otherwise have at a larger school. They offer choices and opportunities that enable learners to have a go at a range of experiences in order to learn new skills, extend their knowledge and challenge themselves.
They acknowledge the importance of knowing each and every learner, and actively promote the vital connection between home and school. Develop strong learning partnerships with all the parents, whanau and carers to ensure a safe, nurturing school environment and progressive educational programme. They set challenging but achievable goals for all their learners and work alongside them and their whanau to enable success.
