Experience East Auckland is about playing our part in helping to revive economic, social and cultural activities in East Auckland. We had already been promoting East Auckland as part of the Reactivate Tāmaki Makaurau in the $12 million voucher programme by offering transport vouchers to host people from Auckland CBD to Clevedon Markets.

In association with Annette Smart of East Auckland Tourism Inc. we have pulled together some of East Auckland's best experiences. The activations is part of a longer term initiative to open up East Auckland as a destination marketing location for domestic and international visitors. In particular, we want to deliver activation programmes that promote Auckland’s cultural diversity while accessing regional places that are often overlooked in other marketing campaigns related to Auckland.

The Experience East Auckland activations are aimed at whānau/families, school, iwi & community groups particularly those from outside East Auckland. Subject to the day of the week, the following East Auckland Wonders & Delights may be featured as part of the experience: Ayrlies Gardens & Wetland (weekdays only), Emilia Maud Nixon Garden of Memories & Uxbridge Arts & Culture centre, Howick Historical Village, Rydges Formosa Golf Resort, Fo Guang Shan Flatbush Temple (dress code important), Warbirds Ardmore (Sundays only), Clevedon Village Farmers Markets (Sunday onlys).

Minimum age is 10 years old.

Experience East Auckland is supported by the Local Activation Fund Programme, administered by Tataki Auckland Unlimited on behalf of the New Zealand Government.
