On Saturday 23 July, make your way to Cobblestones for The Woolly Good Christmas, where we'll be celebrating our wool and sheep heritage with all things woolly: sheep shearing, wool fashion, wool crafts, and everyone can join in to make a peggy square blanket. You’ll be able to make a mini sheep in the woolshed and see wool being spun.
Ride the old fire engine to lunch at Cobblestones from The Town Hall, from 11am - 3pm, or make your own way there.
Enjoy relaxing in our beautiful surroundings with mulled wine and mince pies, lamb burgers, Devonshire tea, or coffee and cake from the cafe. Sausage sizzle for the kids. Food to be served from 12pm -3pm.
There will be old-fashioned games: stilts, hobby horses, quoits, hula hoops on the lawn for the kids. You can also enjoy a Classic Silent Movie with live piano accompaniment - the way it was in the old days! Purchase your tickets for this separately (see separate listing). Popcorn included.
Cobblestones Museum & Early Settlers Village is a fascinating heritage venue for all ages right in the heart of Greytown. Funds raised will be used to develop new exhibitions in the Historic Hastwell Stables and the Red Shed.
Entry by koha/donation.
