The Deep South’s favourite nuggety trio Left or Right have been pumping the release of their third studio album Trippy through NZ label MrYoda Productions. Eight years into a touring/recording career that's yielded the albums Nuggety (2009), Buzzy (2012) and now Trippy (2015), the Invercargill-bred, the Dunedin-domiciled band are enjoying their work and looking forward to the next phase. All three records have been released on Vinyl (limited edition) with the latest LP (Trippy) being a gatefold design by West Coast artist Pat Trembeth on 180 gram thick vinyl and a limited release of 400 copies. The band has thrived on playing many Uni Orientation shows, Festivals and Tours throughout New Zealand and Australia over the years, and with no signs of slowing down the band are ready to take on the overseas market.

Just under a year in the making, Trippy was recorded in Dunedin at Albany St Studios by Mike Holland & Left or Right. The majority of the record was written in the late months of 2014 at ‘The Feahive’ (Dunedin) and ‘The Butchery’ (Invercargill). Many of the overdubs were carried out by the band members engineering each other through their parts @ The Feahive (Dunedin)

The new material has seen LOR continue to evolve as a songwriting unit whilst maintaining their classic genre mash-ups and a strong emphasis on vocal harmonies. Trippy follows on from previous releases Nuggety (2009) & Buzzy (2012) which spent several weeks in The Official NZ Music charts reaching #11 and #5 in the IMNZ Independent charts. The new album Trippy debuted on the NZ charts at #9 and in the IMNZ Independent charts at #2. The 2016/2017 summer will feature the band hitting major festivals throughout the country.
