Do you know what items in your kitchen could be toxic to pets?

This and many other topics and tips will be covered in the veterinarian’s workshop. Be empowered to spot potential accidents so that your pet can live the longest, happiest life.
Two evenings, two topics. Attending both is a complete overview of your pet’s health.

Who is it for?
For all animal lovers and all ages. From new to experienced owners, groomers, kennel/catteries, training vets and nurses.

What you will learn
- Learn the hidden dangers at home and away
- Learn of common preventable and non-preventable illnesses
- Useful tips to help yourself and the vet save time and money

This workshop provides you with foresight to avoid situations that may hurt or accidentally kill your pet.  Get yourself prepared for pet injuries, illnesses requiring a stay in hospital, vet bills and ultimately how to save time and worry.
The evening will consist of a powerpoint presentation and a mid-way break will allow for a practical session and refreshments.

Dr Christine Mackenzie of Picton Veterinary Clinic presents this easy to understand workshop. This vet's perspective on pet health care is valuable knowledge for every pet owner to ensure they provide the BEST care for their deserving pet. Dr Mackenzie has seen many unfortunate choices made by owners over her 20 years of experience that have caused animals unnecessary suffering.
Dr Mackenzie‘s mission is to improve outcomes for pets and their people, and ultimately save lives and minimize unnecessary pain and illness experienced by animals.
In this illustrative and anecdotal set of workshops she touches on areas you may have never thought of, leaving you with a better understanding of your pets and fresh knowledge that you will use for the rest of your life while caring for your animals.

“There was a lot of information, you took into account questions and chats along the way therefore was fresh in everyone's mind. I came away looking at my cat differently and went and examined him as soon as I got home” - Fiona

“I thought I knew all about owning a dog but I found out that I didn't” - Mary

“I particularly enjoyed the practical session. It's such a privilege to benefit from Christine's wealth of knowledge and experience” - Jessie

“An informative presentation – good refresher course for owners who may have forgotten the basics, and should be a must for anyone contemplating pet ownership for the first time so they can truly understand their obligations” - Claire
