On the back of his international success, Merv Pinny heads off on a Rock acoustic tour of New Zealand this winter. This is the first chance to see Merv perform live in New Zealand in smaller venues in 2021. He will be performing the songs that have given him international attention and connected with millions of people from around the world. This tour is about bringing original music back to our smaller local venues and getting to know the story’s behind the artist up close and personal. He has a unique style of songwriting as he blends Rock, Blues, Soul and modern country feels. With grooves that make you move and a voice you won't forget will make this a night to remember. It is called the Rock Reconnaissance tour for good reason. He is hoping to build up enough support to return to your town in the summer with his band and his “Rock your Local show”.

Merv Pinny is an alternative rock artist with a unique style of music. He grew up in New Zealand and was influenced by a mix of different genres. After his song OB, can you hear the children cry went viral on Facebook in 2016. Merv’s Facebook page has now reached more than 80 million people and his music has been streamed over 30 million times on different platforms. His music has made the music charts in Brazil, Canada, USA, Europe, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Ukraine and in late 2020 he had his first global hit when he made the Amazon world music charts with his song Amazing.

Music Reviewers and bloggers from around the world have compared him to some of the greats in rock and roll history, for creating songs with deep meaning and emotional appeal to the listeners.
