Yin yoga is a calm (but tough) class where you will hold seated postures for long periods of time to increase flexibility and let go. Focus on the breath is essential as we move deeper into the postures. Expect some discomfort but serious benefits.
For The Mind:
In Yin, you can hold postures for up to 5 minutes at a time, usually with your eyes closed. This 'me' time will give you time with your thoughts and a great way to meditate. It also trains the mind to be comfortable with the uncomfortable until it passes - a great lesson to take off the mat.
For The Body:
Yin yoga is the perfect body balancer for a busy and active life. You will hold poses between 3-5 minutes which can feel uncomfortable but it helps to soften tight muscles and targets the deep connective tissues of the body. It increases circulation and improves flexibility.
**You will be guided into complete stillness, this practice will be lit entirely by candlelight. You will end your class with a guided meditation leaving you lighter and relaxed. The perfect way to end your week and prepare yourself to start the next week with clear energy and a fresh vibe!
