Join artist Toni Mosley for an informal discussion about her recent residency at Howick Historical Village and the work that has come out of it.
Using screen printing and watercolours, ‘Beyond the Surface’ is inspired by physical objects and historical qualities found at the museum. The artworks are mixed media and use screen-printing, painting, drawing, and letterpress. The pieces are scattered throughout the village for the audience to discover.
Learn how the texture of the old wallpaper, with its layers of history, had a huge impact on the work.
This talk is offered free with the usual museum admission charge.
This project is possible due to support from Arts Out East, Te Tuhi and Howick Local Board.
