Vintage Vinyl is back!
Get things turned up a notch on your Friday night and relive the good times! Mike Preece is setting up his turntables to play 60’s, 70’s and 80’s dance hits on vinyl. A night full of nostalgia and feel-good music. You might find yourself being lifted to the dance floor on a wave of memories!
Ex 1970’s D.J. Mike Preece dragged his 100% vinyl record collection all the way to New Zealand when he migrated from London in 2004. It sat in his garage ever since. He has now dusted off Motown, the Beatles, Elvis and many more for you to enjoy and have a boogie.
There is enough space to shake your tail-feather on the dancefloor. Tables and chairs will be set up in the back of the room, the people watching is almost as much fun as being on the dancefloor yourself! Needing to cool down? Enjoy a cold drink on our outdoor Terrace, weather permitted. The bar will be serving a range of local beverages, bar food and snacks. You’ll be in for a night to remember!
This popular event was held at the Turner Centre regularly before the Covid pandemic. The event is now back on the calendar every 6 weeks!
